WordPress Website Development for WST Graphic Art

This project involved giving the clients existing website a complete overhaul and adding in the facility of online shopping.

A new hosting account was created, WordPress installed and configured and a suitable theme selected and purchased. This particular project require a major amount of theme customisation to get it just the way the client wanted.

WordPress was the obvious choice for this type of site, as it allowed us to create different categories for each of the navigation headings, this meant that creating post of various artworks could be done to a specific category rather than to a page, allowing easy expansion of the site at a later date.

PayPal Payments Standard was using as the Payment Gateway allowing smooth integration for customers making a purchase.

WordPress Website Development for Melville Motor Club Scotland

This project involved recovering the clubs existing (but troubled) website, transferring to an all new hosting account (provided by me) and installing and configuring WordPress.

The main objective of the site was to have 4 individual sections covering each discipline of the club sports.  Each section was setup individually to allow users from only that particular discipline to manage the site content for their respective sports.   WordPress was the obvious choice for this type of site, as it allowed just that. Together with the fact that the WordPress CMS allowed the Club to update the site themselves after some initial basic training.

A WordPress Theme was chosen and purchased prior to a medium amount of theme customisation  to allow us to run the site in the required manner. The end result is a slick new site featuring the four individual motorcycling disciplines which the club organise and run.

WordPress Website Development for SACUMX

I’ve looked after the SACUMX website for the past 3 or 4 seasons now and the time had come for a complete overhaul of the existing HTML/CSS site.

WordPress was chosen for the development platform for the new 2011 season and a suitable theme was selected and customised.

The end result is a slick new site which combines both the Adult and Youth Scottish Motocross Championship series. Race events, race results, race reports and a selection of photographs are all updated regularly on the site keeping the competitors and followers updated throughout the season.

The design part of this website project was done by Neil Watson of Fantasy Prints and then passed to me for the website development.

The simple ecommerce system for RealFirewood.co.uk’s website is integrated with PayPal allowing visitors to purchase products via their PayPal account or by credit card.

Unusual project this one! Being as I was/am the client, the designer and the developer all in one.  The idea was simple, create a great looking website packed full of track information and local facilities for those travelling to the circuit for practice or for events.

The site includes a Current Track Status, a Google business location map, Weather Feed, Calendar of Events, Gallery and Contact form. Plans to develop a full Blog/CMS for this website are currently under way.

Redeveloped in late 2010. This is the second incarnation for this particular website.

This time around the client wanted a very simple and uncomplicated showcase style website to illustrate all the projects they had done, and all the projects they were currently working on .

New Edinburgh based architectural business looking for a brand new slick, simple and very minimalist website in which to provide their online presence and a place where they can showcase their designs and recent projects.

WordPress was chosen as the CMS development platform.

The end result is a very minimalist design which required a lot of theme customisation and stripping out of the WordPress css files.  This was exactly as the client required and with a little basic WordPress training the client is able to update the site themselves whenever a new project or design is underway.

Just moved house and theres been so much to do.  There was also a minor problem with the site pages, in particular the Portfolio page.  Whenever anyone clicked on Portfolio they were taken to a Blog style ‘inline’ view of the Portfolio Page and not the  Portfolio style ‘Table’ view.   Anyway this has now been resolved, looks like I was associating the wrong categories to the blog entries!   Ooops!
