Hello there! I’m Chris Macvie, a freelance website designer and developer based in Edinburgh. This website is my own personal portfolio, my blog and my playground for expressing myself.

I originally started life as a farmer, but after spending a year travelling Australia I decided that farming wasn’t for me. In 1998 I left the farm and went off to Napier University to study ‘computers!’. Since leaving uni in 2002, with a BEng (Hons) in Multimedia Systems, I have been designing and developing websites for small to medium sized businesses all over the Northumberland, the Scottish Borders and Edinburgh and the Lothians.

I am experienced in a range of multimedia programs such as Fireworks, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash and Dreamweaver. I also have experience in building blog and content management websites in WordPress, such as this one. Check out my services page for a full range of what I can offer you.
